What we do |
|
 |
STANDARD SERVICE MONITORING
|
Himonitor will ping your site/server on a specific port, (protocol, port, authentication as easly configurable)
every x minutes than store data and archive it daily/monthly to be displayed on graphs.
Graphs are exportable and data from multiple sources can be compared on same graph, also the uptime checker contact your website from multiple source to ensure that
your service is really down and that is not just a routing failure.
you could also add alerts, one or more, with different timeout/frequency and different contact address (silent alerts, email, sms) to ensure to be contacted when things goes down.
there are also some flash widgets available with multiple parameters (uptime, up now, ping average, monthly uptime, ...).

SERVER MONITORING
|
We started this service because we was bored about MRTG, very hard to configure/customize and when a server was down, all mrtg data that could help to understand server problem was down too with the server..
So now himonitor.com provide a OPENSOURCE, easly configurable script (in 3 minute you will have configured about 100 server parameters + mysql , look at our video demo ;) ) to export server stats.
Our first script work only on linux, is written in php and is 100% opensource,
the way it works it's quite simple.. it read configuration file, run some shell command to read server parameters, parse them, build xml output file and send it to himonitor.com servers (or print out into a file if you prefer)
than himonitor collect data (IN REAL TIME) and store it.
you can build as many graphs and sheet as you want in himonitor, with different parameters (also from different server..), date range, combinations...
you have really to see our demo videos to understand what i'm saying :)..
once you have your graph you can add alerts (only on site(silent) , email, sms ) on every server param, in example..
- get an alert on site when your hard disk free space is under 8%
- get an sms when hard disk free space is under 2%
- get an sms when your tcp connection over second are over 8000 (DoS attack)
- get an sms when your http service is down for more than 10 minutes
and so on.. you can have 100+ alerts on all your server param..
Our widgets also works on your server param, so you can have a widget on your site that show out your server current cpu usage, or your current outgoing bandwidth..and so on.. you have to try it :)
This site is brand new, we are under beta and developing features/fixing bugs almost every day.. please back to us in our forum or using Trouble ticket system
thank you.

Server with a high load peak |

|
Server with load that reached 1000% ( load = 20 ) because it's a dual core cpu , so load of 2 = 100% |

An heavy sheet with about 10 servers monitored on same graph ... |
|
|
Lot of alerts in this this graph, server load crossed alert the line almost every hour |
|
|
Server with 7.76 millions row insertion in 13 hours... yesterday sda written 18 GB... (lot of small insert) |

STANDARD SERVICE MONITORING
- 100% in real time.
- Monitor
icmp ping, mysql server, ftp server, mail (pop3, smtp), webserver (http), or a
general service on a port to check if it's opened.
- Store data about your uptime / ping timing stats
- Build multiple, customizable, daily/weekly/monthly graphs with your stats
- Alert you if something goes down , alerts are customizable and message can be delivered by email/sms/or just be shown on himonitor site
- Generate widgets for your website with your uptime stats
- Check out on our feature pages our screenshots... |

SERVER MONITORING
- 100% in real time.
- Monitor your server param like cpu, network card, hard drive, load, traffic..
- Monitor your server mysql status (query/sec, uptime, keywrites/sec, .... )
- Monitor process uptime in your server (process are customizable)
- 100% opensource, so code is transparent, you can see it, you can edit it, also you can add things to get monitored.
- setup takes no more than 10min.. (well maybe first time will take 15min.. but see our "installation video demo" to me take no more than 4 minutes )
- you can have 30+ servers monitored and 100+ param each and 200+ alerts
- Graphs can contain data from multiple servers, to compare same data from different servers, or to create a graph with all important data, or whatelse you need..
- You can configure alerts on each server param, with precise timings and
frequency, and alert message can be sent on your email / mobile phone
- Each sms cost is about 0.15$, some sms can be buyed in premium account.
- Widgets can be used to export server parameters for your website (server load, network traffic,...) or to create a webpage to keep some values under control..
- Check out on our feature pages our screenshots... or watch our demo video to have an idea of how himonitor can help you!
